The governance of Recreation Services is a combined effort between a staff of 35 employees and the CUSG Joint Board on Recreation Services (known as the Rec Board). Rec Board is composed primarily of students, with representation from faculty/staff. The Rec Board operates under the authority of the University of Colorado Student Government (CUSG) and the Regents of the University of Colorado.
The Rec Center is a member of the Health and Wellness Team located within the Division of Student Affairs. Other Health and Wellness Team members are: Wardenburg Health Center, Counseling and Psychological Services, The Office of Victim Assistance, and Alcohol and Other Drugs. Recreation Services works closely with these and other programs within the Division to plan programs, events, facilities and services for students, faculty, and staff.
Student Recreation Services supports the protection of individual privacy, and is committed to ensuring the confidentiality of personally identifiable information provided by its employees and customers. It is the policy and practice of Student Recreation Services to collect the least amount of personally identifiable information necessary to fulfill its required duties and responsibilities, complete a particular transaction, or deliver services. Student Recreation Services may share such identifiable information with other individuals or organizations that provide services to the Student Recreation Department. The Student Recreation Services requires these third parties to protect the information they receive pursuant to this policy, the University's policy, and applicable law.
